Which would you prefer

Bridal Shower vs. Bachelorette Party
Which one would you rather have and why? How would you feel about your significant other attending a Guy get to together or a Bachelor Party? and Why?

I have been told that I am having both ! That is more fun and twice the lingerie! Besides, we can let our hair down so to speak, and get a little naughty at the Male Strip Bar http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif without my mother looking and giving everyone dirty looks!

I do not mind my other half having either, either! As long as he "THEY" do not cross that line we have set. We actually discussed this a couple of weeks ago while we were watching the movie "The Best Man". I do not even mind a stripper, just as long as ..... Ladies, you know! But, we trust each other 200%, and so THAT is not even an issue for us.

I didn't know there was a preference. ALL the brides I have known had BOTH!

Sometimes, the Shower turned into a party...if you know what I mean! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif

One of my cousins is hosting a "Couples' Shower" for my fiance and me, and both sets of friends (single and married) are invited. She says it's the "new" thing to do. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/tongue.gif Whatever! But if I had to choose, I would prefer a shower. I'm not big on parties to begin with so I wouldn't feel as though I was missing anything.

My fiance has made it clear he does not want a bachelor party, but his groomsen have other plans. I would not be upset if he attended a bachelor party because I'm secure in my relationship and trust him completely.

AKAtude I have been married for 8 years and I know that I am his Queen and he is my King!! You have to have trust and be in love with your significant other.

I think that I'd prefer a creatively put together bridal shower. I'm a toned down kind of sister and the sharing of pre-wedding time with my closest friends will mean a great deal to me.

As a newlywed--i thought i throw in my opinon.
To be honest I am not the Bachelorette Party type (most of the stripers I have seen seem just a little fem. to me).

I had two bridal showers:
1 with family and older family friends
and the other with friends and sorors
the second one is where I got all the WILD stuff http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/redface.gif

My hubby did have a wild nite out with the boys a few weeks before.. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/rolleyes.gif

I felt that the nite before we should both be
praying and preparing for the covenant were making before GOD

i would love to have both. the shower is for everybody...family and friends BUT the party is for me and my girls to get a little buck wild(WITHIN REASON OF COURSE) before i am a mrs. akatude, my fiance also doesn't want a party and i tried to encourage him to have one. if your beau is having reservations maybe the guys could go to a sports bar instead. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif.
