UMCP Miss Black Unity Pageant
 

FYI. Ms Robyn Knight, the contestant sponsored by the Omega Psi Phi
>Fraternity, Inc. at the Nyumburu Cultural Center's Ms Black Unity Pageant
>(see below), won the competition and was crowned the new Ms. Black Unity
>(for the upcoming 2004-2005 academic year).

>The competition was held on Friday, December 5, 2003, at the University of
>Maryland College Park in the (new) Clarice Smith Performing Arts Building.

>Ms Knight competed against seven other women in various pageant areas,
>including evening dress selection and intellectual question. For the talent
>portion of the evening Ms Knight performed a piano selection written by
>Beethovan.

>Along with winning being crowned Ms Black Unity, Ms Knight swept the whole
>contest, winning each of the other categories as well. They consited of (1)
>Best Poise; (2) Best Talent; (3) Ms Congeniality; and (4) Best Evening
>Gown).
