I TOTALLY RESENT THAT!!! Someone's head needs to be on a platter.

I dont mind it if people dont like Bush. That's a right as a citizen of the USA, but to have something like that come up??? That's just wrong. People should have more respect for the President because he's the president whether you like him or not. *shakes head*

I respect the office of the President, but I will NEVER respect the individual who currently holds that office.

Absolutely!

Respect has to be earned. And he's not my president and to me me he hasn't done anything that is worthy of my respect, and apparently others feel the same way.

Such love!

ThetaPrincess24 12-10-2003 04:44 PM

YOu should respect him as another human being. I dont agree with most liberals but I respect them as people........I wasnt and still am not a fan of Bill Clinton, but I respect him as a person.

Bush deserves the same respect as a person too. You dont have to like him but respect him.

You took the words right out of my mouth!

Anyone who felt strongly about it could email the Google support addresses urging them to take corrective action upon the exploitation of this Google 'feature'.

If you do a Google Image Search for "democratic teens" you get a picture of somebody slitting their wrist.

IT HAPPENS. It's GOOGLE. Simma.

Mary, I understand you being offended. I haven't looked at the site, but I'm sure it would offend me too if it's yet another putdown of President Bush.

Honestly though, I am sure he isn't bothered by things like this. If he knows about it, he probably chalks it up to free speech and forgets about it. People can say whatever they want, but George Bush is still president and there's nothing that can be done about that until the next election.

When Bill Clinton was President, I heard him referred to as, among other things, a redneck, a sneak, a lapdog for the liberal left (particularly the Hollywood contingent), a dishonest man, a draft dodger, and a philanderer. Even my liberal friends (don't be so surprised; I have some! lol) were shocked by the number of Presidential pardons he granted on the way out of office, including a pardon for his brother, Roger. So, no matter which party is in office, there are always going to be people who don't like the President.

The President of the US is a relatively easy object of satire. It's kind of like being nasty to your waiter in a restaurant. You know he's not going to confront you about your comments so why not fire away? I'm reasonably sure that if someone was sitting in a room with the man, it's highly unlikely anything rude would be said to his face. I can't say for sure, but I think so.

Geez, I'm longwinded today! lol The point of all this is, just ignore it. It's not important.

PS: To the people who posted in this thread that don't like/respect the President...my post isn't a personal attack on you. I've exchanged friendly PMs with most of you at one time or another and always enjoy reading your posts (and have even been known to agree with them occasionally :) )
