Formal Rush- Pairs Game
 

For Formal Rush we would like to use the Pair’s Game as an icebreaker, here's some that I already came up w/ Romeo & Juliet, Mickey & Minnie, Daisy & Donald, Ken & Barbie, Chandler & Monica but beyond that I am having a brain freeze. These pairs can be Disney, Cartoons, Food, Star Couples, Presidents, and TV Couples. The more recognizable the couples are the better.

Everyone gets a sheet of paper with a name or word on it. You have to try to find the person who has the word that goes with yours. If I picked "Laverne" I would have to try to find "Shirley."

OK.. im a little confused too.. I know how to play the game, but maybe if you explain how ya'll do it.. i will understand how it works in this setting better.. just bc i know we arent allowed to leave the pnm ever alone and with this game you have to wander around to find your pair usually by yourself..

Explanation
 

Okay, I’m going to explain a little about the game for people who have never heard of it and how I adapted the game to work for Formal Rush. Sisters are given their cards before the Rushees arrive that has one have of a famous couple on it and a question. When the Rushees enter the House they will be given a card that also has one half of a famous couples name on it and a question. Once everyone is in the room the Rush Chair will explain that each person has about five minutes (time depends on the size of the group) to find their first pair and answer the question on the cards. There will be Sisters that do not have cards whose sole job is to help the Rushees find their matches, while also introducing them to other Sisters along the way. Each Sister who has a card should also approach any Rushee who is not with anyone offer to help her find her match, that way the Rushee is never left alone. After each Sister/ Rushee has found their match they will answer the question on the card and then that Sister will remain with that Rushee as her escort until she is bumped to another group.

P.S. I’ll take :D Ben and Jerry :D ANY day over Ben and Jen!!!

Ok.. that makes more sense.. sounds like a cute idea to spark convo.. :)

I think that idea also sounds like it could work really well for a COB event, because sometimes at those girls tend to not circulate quite as much.
