Crest/Ritual
 

I was wondering if anyone could PM me about the meaning of everything on our crest(especially the letters at the bottom) and maybe other imp't. aspects of ritual that are outside of initiation. My alpha class never had any ritual outside of initiation and formal chapter explained to us and I REALLY want to know! I was also curious about what days you all have during Initiation Week besides Black Diamond Day and Blue/White Day, b/c we just do those two days and then initiation. Thanks!!!

Ask the Guard in your chapter. Every year they should do a ritual review.

Hee, hee - I'm going to take a moment to brag! I finally got my new work computer for my home (seeing as how the last one simply died on me!), and it has a big ole 17" flat panel, pedestal monitor and I'm loving it!

Everything is so gorgeous on this, I didn't see WLFEO's reponse at first, and I was going to indignantly say that there needs to be ritual review in your chapter! And don't you feel badly about that - MOST chapters need to have a ritual review!

We keep ritual & similar information off our GC board, though, so I'll also recommend Pride Online! :)

let me just say how cool it is to do ritual review with chris stecher dickey after initiation. she came to our chapter and gave an awesome presentation to us. needless to say that we will hopefully be having her back every year for review.

I'll bet that was fantastic!!!! :) The longer that you're an ADPi who genuinely cares about the First & the Finest, the more in awe you become of our traditions & heritage.

I have got to go to a convention one of these days...!

I say you try to make it out to Arizona for the next convention....I'm planning on going, which will be my next big savings project after saving for a wedding for a Sister that I'm a bridesmaid for in Indiana next year! We gotta get as many ADPi GCers together in one location as we can...that would make for one AWESOME picture! :)

Exactly when are the dates? I go to another convention every year, and luckily, this year, it's in Pittsburgh! So, maybe I can swing both. It will be a matter of time from work AND the money!

The 2005 Grand Convention will be held June 22-26, 2005 at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort in Phoenix, Arizona

I think I'm going to have to make my own 2005 calendar and write in the convention dates now! :D
