Holiday "Presents"!!
 

Let's pretend that we're all insanely rich, wise, and can endow attributes to ourselves, other GreekChat friends, or even chapters. What would you give? (and you can give an unlimited number of gifts in an unlimited amount of posts!)

I'll start by giving straight A's on their finals to every ADPi collegiate!

I'd pay off every chapter's debt to their Housing Corp!

I'd give the chapters who DON'T have a Housing Corporation a good, strong one!

I think all the advisors deserve a big fat check from Santa- perhaps $2000 a month........

Well I would be thrilled if my chapter not only made Panhel total in January, but if we also got all of the adorable PNM's I liked from Fall Rounds (kind of like a preview round before formal rush). I really want twin little sisters!!!

I also wish we could re-open some of our chapters that closed at larger schools, esp. Ole Miss, LSU, OU and SMU.

Hmm...and if I had the money, I would build my chapter a huge house so I could live there next year (we can only have exec officers living in them at Vandy).

I would give my chapter all As, pay off House Corp. stuff, and a pledge class that meets quota in january (it's been a while since this has happened), plus i would pay for all the new alumns to visit and put them up in a fancy schmancy hotel. :)

I'd have all the fundraising for our new house done.
I'd also have all actives dues paid for the next 5 years!

One can only dream...;)

Well some of the things I would 'give' wouldn't be considered with money.

I would want Delta Gamma Chapter to not stuggle with numbers and reach at least 100 girls, if not total (150).

I too would give advisors big fat paychecks. Those women do so much for chapters but don't get a dime.

Hmm, what else.

I would pay off every sisters school loans (hey you did mention that money wasn't an option. :) )

Ok...so things I would do

-buy the house my chapter wanted so we don't have to fight with the university all the time about the all greek res hall...

-Have dues never be a problem for my sisters again, especially since most of the women are paying for school out of their own pockets as it is...

-As ASUADPi said, pay off all the loans of my sisters...

-Put on an event at NAU to have the campus realise that greek life isnt the worst thing in the world as they seem to want to think it is..

Ok...that is it for now...my brain is a bit fried from finals...

Some more Christmas gifts:

*Quota Plus and Total for every chapter!

*That every Alpha Delta Pi pin that comes for sale on ebay goes ONLY to a sister of Alpha Delta Pi!!

*That a national event on the lines of DG's Anchor Splash becomes trendy, in support of Ronald McDonald Houses.

*That a verifiable portrait or photo of Founder Elizabeth Williams is found!

*That none of our computers get a virus!

*That a certain defamatory site is permenantly deleted, and the memories of the same also wiped clean! (and if you have questions, do NOT ask!! PM me, and I will answer privately!)

*That all the GreekChat trolls will find a better use of their time!

*and of course, that I lose those 419 pounds I've been wanting to lose for a while now...! :D

In regards to the BIG news of the day: I'd say that the American troops got their Christmas wish!! :D

OHMYGOSH!!! At first I didn't know what was going on, so I figured if it was "BIG" news, CNN.com would have it, and sure enough!!!! On the first page the headline screams " We got him" :eek: Wow.. that is definitely amazing. I'm so excited and proud of our forces :)

I was at our local RMH this weekend and it hit me what I'd REALLY like to wish for for Christmas:

That there would no longer be any need for Ronald McDonald Houses! (ie: no more sick kids!)

This is slightly selfish but...

• I wish that all ADPi girls studying abroad come home safely. (Especially those Omicron girls out there--there are 20 of our juniors studying abroad everywhere from Spain to Australia!)
• I wish that everyone in my chapter (Omicron--Duke Univ.) has a refreshing & energizing Christmas break so we all come back in January prepared for RECRUITMENT! (We have deferred recruitment).
• I wish (& know!) that Omicron chapter gets an AWESOME pledge class in January.
• I wish everyone has a safe, happy, peaceful holiday :)

*sigh*

We take so much for granted...
