Paper Checks?
Who here has completely quit using paper checks?
I don't like the things. Pay everything online now. Car payment is the only thing that I can't do that with. How do y'all pay your bills/receive them? |
I still use checks at the grocery store, but I pay everything else online
I use them for very few things nowadays. Primarily, I use them for:
Ordering pictures (I develop via a mail-in photo lab and I don't want to use my debit card number) Paying sorority bills (we're required to use checks for record-keeping purposes) That's about it. Occasionally there are other instances, but they're not frequent. |
I pay my rent with a check, because they won't take anything else. Everything else is done paperless.
We do our mortgage payment online, and I do my Nordstrom card online too, but everything else is by paper checks. I'm old fashioned, I guess, and I prefer tangible over virtual.
All my monthly bills are paid online. About the only time I write a check is when I buy something at a place (usually the mall) that does not have ATM and I don't want to use a credit card.
I still use paper checks for just about everything. For a couple of my monthly bills, they started charging if you wanted a paper statement so I switched to online bill pay, but otherwise it's all paper.
What can I say, I'm a Luddite :p |
I pay for pizza with checks. Very soon I'll be paying Theta Alumnae Chapter and Alumnae Panhellenic chapter dues with checks, and I pay for various AKPsi things I go to with checks........everything else is taken directly out of my account or paid for with my debit card.
I still use checks for almost everything I do.
Me too Thrillhouse. I like to know when I wrote the check and not have to look online to see what's happening with my account.
