zeta poem
What is sisterhood?
Can it be defined? I looked it up in every book But it was not underlined. I asked all of my friends They said they did not know I even asked a fraternity boy Who searched both high and low. I researched in the library But the word could not be found Then I resorted to asking people On the streets of downtown. I asked all of my sisters They said I would find out And after initiation I knew What they were talking about. It cannot be defined in the dictionary Or by people who cannot see That sisterhood is a concept Shared by those like you and me. It is a feeling of security A sister is always there for you It is a feeling of happiness When you receive a smile or two. A bonding like no other Rare and exquisite in form It will always last forever Even when college days are forlorn. When it comes to a definition Sisterhood cannot be defined It has several meanings to each sister At different places and different times. "Love is the greatest of all things" In Zeta Tau Alpha I know it is true For I have experienced sisterhood And I know that you will too. By Wendi Taylor I dont know if you all have seen this poem--- but I absolutley love it!! and here is the link from the site it came from..;) http://students.washburn.edu/organiz...isterhood.html *amie* |
