New Hotmail Look (What Do You Think Of It?)
Why can't they keep one look. I like the first one, the one before this one took me a while to get used to it. And now, when I get used to the last one, they have a new one. Damn it, damn it to hell.

I definately second that statement. I couldn't figure out how to compose a message for a little while, but then I figured it out after some searching. ;) It doesn't take much to stump me! haha. I don't like the version at all!!! Grrrrrrrrrr...
|
I don't like it either. There should be a way to opt out, and choose the old version.
|
I like the new look, but then again I don't use my hotmail account that often.

I love it.

I hate the new hotmail look!

As I already stated in the random thread, it sucks hard.

i dont like that it only shows you how many new messages you have from the people on your contact list.

WTF happened to, "if it's not broke, don't fix it!"??? |
Has anyone else noticed how Microsoft feels the need to dumb down the terms they use with every upgrade? When I got my new laptop it had Windows XP and instead of saying "shut down" it says "turn off." The new hotmail has something similar, instead of "inbox" its "my messages." Took me awhile to figure out that inbox = my messages.
Definitely echo the sentiments about the new hotmail. I liked how you could read to the bottom of the email and then hit the delete button the bottom of the screen, now you have to scroll back up! |

i haven't seen it yet....i divert my messages through Outlook, so i don't go to hotmail.com very often.

As a side note, if you go into Options, then click on 'mail', and then 'navigation', you can change the top bar from saying "Today / Mail / Contacts" back to the old version of "Home / Inbox / Compose / Contacts"
That way you don't need to search 80 different places to compose a message. Another thing I like is in the 'contacts' options, you can have Hotmail build a contact list for you from e-mails in your inbox or sent messages or whatever - it pulls up all the e-mails that fit the criteria, and then lets you select which ones to put into contacts with the appropiate name. Much easier to do then click on each old message and click 'add as contact' so the person shows up as someone that you 'know' - you can also put Listserve e-mails into your contacts so they show up as 'known' e-mail. |
