Lavaliere... traditions?
My boyfriend recently brought up that he wants to lavaliere me... (He's a Pi Kappa Phi - so we're both Pi Phi's.. how cute is THAT) Anyway - I was wondering if there's something formal about this or if he just hands over a shirt or a necklace or something and it's done... :)
I'm so excited about having a candlelight :) |
At our house it's simple. After the candlelight the boyfriend and his fraternity come over to our house. I know one time one of my sisters sat on his knee while he latched the lavaliere to her while his brothers sang their sweetheart song to the couple.
I think you can approach it however you want. I say go for theatricality if you can! Congrats! I wish my boyfriend was in a fraternity so I could get lavaliered!!! :p |
We don't have any of these traditions... It makes me so sad. At W&L there are no fraternity sweethearts/pinnings/lavaliering, I guess due to the fact that we we single sex for so long. It makes me :(, especially since my boyfriend IS in a fraternity.
