Flashbacks
 

Does anyone know what exactly happens when you have a flashback? I'm a little curious, I don't know anyone whos had one....but this question keeps coming up around me. Some people I know think they have flashbacks, but they don't really know how to identify one. I'm sure with all the old people on this board some of you must have been around in the 60's and did acid, can any of you inform me what the symptoms are?

I thought flashbacks are just when you remember something that happened to you, especially anything from a long time ago. I guess flashbacks can be drug induced as well, being in an altered state and all.

I was talking about the type where you supposedly see little bright dots or star like images that float by but you can never focus on them. Flashbacks arent something you have while on the drug....i think they're something you have later on down the road. I havent had one, but I do know some people who think they've had some. I just want to know how to label one so i can tell some peopel whether or not they actually had one or if they just need to go to the eye doctor.
