searching on gc
 

anyone else get frustrating when you cant put any word less than 3 letters in the search field for greek chat? I tried searching for an old post that had the abreviation for the greek letters and it told me that I couldnt search for anything with less than three letters.
anyone know how to get around this?

have you tried putting a * at the beginning or end of the word you're looking for?

(ex. if you are looking for "pie" put in "pie*")

Using the * has always helped me :)

Yeah, that frustrates me a lot! If I want to search for an old thread, I would have to enter words that are 4+ characters. It is ridiculous!

Texas*princess, I should try that suggestion. However, I have a quick question. Do you have to put two *s if the word has only two characters? Just curious!

YES!!!

This is a major pet peeve. I wish that search engine would at least except the two and three letter names of greek letters. It can reject all other two and three letter words, and I would be happy.

texas*princess is right...just put stars upon thars. :)
