Selling a sorority house on Ebay is just weird
Is that their official house? or is it just a house that some of the girls got together and live in?
I'd like to know which sorority...
Anybody know anything about it?

The sorority house is not owned by the sorority, the current owner is selling it as an investment opportunity. He is letting the prospective buyers know that it is zoned as a sorority house and currently occupied - that's why it is listed as a sorority house, for zoning reasons.

As far as to whether it is their "official" house, I am 99.9% sure it is not recognized by the school...they say once you move off campus you are off and they have nothing to do with any off campus housing. Whether their national (if they have a national) considers it "official" is another story.

I donno, but if I was trying to sell this house on ebay, I'd tell the tenents to clean up BEFORE I take the pictures! Yikes, did you see the sink? Yeah, that makes me wanna buy that house even more. :rolleyes:

It reminded me of the pledge house in Sorority Life when the sister was on their case about not doing the dishes!

:confused::confused: :confused:
All I see is a couple dishes in the sink, and some others drying on the rack. It's not like it is filthy.

Sorority houses at the state schools don't have maids and cooks to maintain them 24/7 - this looks fine to me. :rolleyes:

as for the basement picture - that's obviously to show the state of the plumbing and water heater, it's not a finished basement.

I agree the house looks in fine condition to me too!

That looks very similiar to my sorority house. We don't all have maids and cooks and Tiffany lamps and PB furniture donated by our alumnae. Some of us have to make do with IKEA and Target and takeout for dinner.

Wow thats just nuts I dont think that I would buy a house off of ebay. I also dont think that I would want to buy a house with tenants living in it already. I wonder if it will sell.

It is actually an advantage to purchase a house (if you're intending to rent it) to have tenants already. It makes it easier to get financing for it.

Eminem's house in Warren, MI was up on E-bay. It originally went for over a million (and it isn't worth anywhere near that as a house goes). I think the original purchaser couldn't come up with financing and it went up again. The second time, it sold for much less!

I need to move.

This makes me so sad. The condo I'm buying costs more than that house and the it's not even a third of the size. :(:mad:
