Endless Love? or No?
Did you have a high school or college relationship that you were utterly convinced was the one? What happened; are you still together? Did you want out? Did your partner want out? Let's dish on our endless love (taken from an utterly horrible 1981 Brooke Shields film which was, in turn, adapted from a fairly readable Scott Spencer novel. But I digress) stories.

I really thought my HS Sweetheart was the one. It was my first long term relationship so I thought that we were going to be together forever. Then, we got to college. :)
I joined a sorority and he didn't go greek. There's no problem in that at all. But, instead of supporting my decision, he mocked me and refused to go to any of my date functions. When I finally convinced him to go to one of my date functions, we just fought the whole time. He started leaving every weekend to go wakeboarding with his friends in some place that's an hour outside of Orlando. I was fed up by then. I went to a fraternity party one night and...oops!...cheated on him with an SAE that I had a crush on for a while. I broke up with my boyfriend the next day. Best decision ever. |
Well, I met this girl in college. I was a sophomore and she was a freshman.
We didn't date exclusively right away, but we did get married just after she graduated. We've been married over 33 years now. |
.
Well... if he's not the one... he's pretty damn wonderful! :) |
My one and only college relationship is still going strong. We started dating in March of 2000. We transferred to the same school in June of 2001 and will be graduating together in May. I've always felt very fortunate to have my best friend at school with me.
Of course we have had good and bad times. But I have no doubt that he is the one! :) |
High school crushes
Mr. Silver and I got married when I was a teenager. Yes, we are still married.

It was love at first sight (for me). He says he alway knew I was the one. I met him at 17 married at 27. How long has it been?
Well, let me say AARP has invited me to join the ranks...http://www.handykult.de/plaudersmilies.de/cry.gif His heart is my heart. |
I thought my most recent ex was the one. He was my longest relationship of a year and a half............He changed and became asshole the last 4 months.....We broke up this past March where he told me the night before I left to go to Savannah for spring break that he used me for sex for the entire time we were together.....I'm glad we are no longer together despite his attempts last week to get me back.

Well, being the odd one as usual,
My first Love was in the seventh grade. She lived in a girls home and went to a different high school. After graduation from high school, I tried to find her. I found out several years later that she had died. I still think of her to this day! My first and last true love. |
As a guy there is something about this entire topic that makes me uncomfy . . . so all I can say is blerg :p

I thought my childhood boyfriend would be the one. He moved to another state without saying goodbye to me. He didn't even contact me. I still think about him everyday and he has a very special place in my heart.
My high school boyfriend would never be the one, don't ask me why. He was more friendship material than bf material to me. I never had a college boyfriend, just crushes that never materialized any further that a crush. http://www.smilies.okipages.com/s/co...tever_anim.gif |
My high school sweetheart and I got married 3 weeks after we graduated from college. It's been a little over 2 years since then, and I'm as happy as can be. It was hard when he was in college while I was a senior, but we were lucky to go to the same college, and the one in our home town!

FI and I started dating our senior year of HS. I was 17 and he was a few days shy of 17 when we started to go out.
We're getting married in exactly 180 days :) |
