Leadership
Hi all!!!!
Has anyone ever been Leadership Chair and what have you done with it. Our chapter has not had that position filled in awhile and I was curious what others have done. Any info would be great thanks! |
The leadership chair can get information about different organizations on campus and encourage your sisters to join them. You could also keep track of application deadlines (like for orientation leader or whatever). You can work with the recruitment team to decide what key organizations would be the best for your chapter to be involved. Some chapters have requirements in their bylaws that say every member needs to be in 2 outside organizations.
Another thing you can do is to work with the MEVP on scheduling TMEs on leadership skills. If I think of anything more, I'll let you know! |
WOW! We didn't have that as an "official" chairmanship when I was in school. I'll tell you one thing that we did do, though: a few sisters sat down & figured out which activities attracted the most freshmen women, and we always had at least 3 sisters in each of those activities! I'm sure that would work well on any campus.
We had to be in two outside organizations, but Panhellenic could be one of them. I think they only require one now. Do most chapters have that requirement? Because I think this Leadership Chair is a wonderful idea! |
Thanks!!!! I believe we (my chapter) still requires two organizations, but because no one has been this position, we haven't been doing it. if anyone else has info I would really appreciate* it.
*GC needs spell check for all of us who can't spell things right all the time.:D |
