Which movies to check out this weekend?

Here's a partial list of recently released movies or movies coming out this week:

Elf
The Missing
Love Actually
Looney Tunes
Master and Commander
Haunted Mansion
21 Grams
Cat in the Hat
Gothika
Timeline
Bad Santa
Matrix

I've been looking forward to Gothika for a while so I'm hoping to see it this weekend. I also want to see Elf and Love Actually. I think I'm going to see Love Actually with my roomie sometime; there is no way I'll be able to convince Mr. ZTAngel into seeing it with me (he says it's a chick-flick).

Master and Commander was excellent. I recommend any movie if the leading actor's first name is Russell. You just can't go wrong.

Master and Commander.

Russell Crowe = yummylicious.

Love Actually is wonderful.
I recommend that y'all take a pass on The "Shat" in the Hat

I saw Love Actually which was really good. I'd recommend it. This weekend I am planning to check out The Missing and Timeline, for sure, and maybe more if I have the time.

Anchorgirl, Timeline does look good. Its gotten a few good reviews too. I'm going to check that out along with HM.

bafromkc - Where are you reading the good reviews for Timeline? Can you post them? I'd like to read what they are saying.

My sisters rented "Santa Claus 2", "Bruce Almighty" and "8 Crazy Nights". I saw SC and BA but didn't have time to watch 8. BA was super funny. SC2 was cute, but don't watch it if you don't have a "child's" mind... you'll just think it's stupid.. we don't need ya sippin' the HATERade.

In theaters, I really want to see Elf. I think I'll wait for video for the rest. Love Actually does look cute.

I saw Timeline Wednesday night. My friend read the book(Crichton,) and he didn't like the movie. I didn't read the book, but I've seen better movies. I wouldn't see it if I were you.

I took my little legacy to see Elf tonight and we both enjoyed it a lot! The whole theater was singing "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" at the end.. what fun!

Dee

*I know I need a more adult life when the last 10 movies I've seen in the theater were kid flicks.

Love Actually was such a good movie! I highly recommend it, even though I am a sucker for a good British romantic comedy :)
