rituals on ebay???
 

Hello everyone.

An Alumna called me tonight and let me know that there is a set of our rituals for the dedication days (Palm Green Ceremony, Crimson Ceremony, Pearl White Ceremony and the Gold Ceremony). Should one of us bid on this so it doesn't get out to other people?

I'm absolutely appauled to see this online to be sold to people who aren't in the organization. Help someone!!!!

I just looked at her other auction. I am guessing that what she actually has is the order form for ritual supplies, trying to pass it off as ritual.

I'm going to email her and see whether this is actually something to be worried about.

I know this isn't the best thing for ASA but at least it's just the dedication days and not Phoenix or Sanctuary....technically Dedication Days are open ceramonies and non-members can see them.

Thanks - I am old and was not sure where they went. We didn't have Dedication Days when I was a pup.

But yes, they are definitely open.

I just went to the site where the ritual is being auctioned. Here is the description:

"For Sale are (4) FOUR Alpha Sigma Alpha ceremonies/ rituals. They are the Palm Green Ceremony, Crimson Ceremony, Pearl White Ceremony and the Gold Ceremony. To the best of my knowledge these are only ceremonies that sisters are supposed to see so I am assuming they are secret. I could be wrong though I suppose. This is not for an actual book, but a printed copy of the rituals. It describes how to set up the room/ tables/ what to say and do etc.This is really interesting reading and great for anyone interested in rituals/ fraternity stuff in general. Would also be very helpful to anyone trying to write a ritual.Happy Ebaying!"

Sounds to me like its an actual ritual. Its only at 4.99 and noone has bid on it yet. Shipping is 3.00. I can bid on it if noone else will and either shred it or send it to HQ.

I have already informed the seller that what she has is open, and therefore, according to our terminology, NOT ritual. If I could put that on ebay I would.
