not to be a bitch or anything but I dont really want to have to see 8876765 "what are your ABC's like?" threads cuz im sure everyone will say they love every org at their campus just cuz thats usually how GC works with all the political correctness and niceness.......btw i dont have AXO or DG on my campus so it's not personal.

kddani 11-24-2003 09:55 AM

Do NOT ask this question.... you're just asking for trouble. Do a search for previous threads, there's a million of them on the subject. They all get ugly.

While you may not care about hearing people talk isht on DGs on other campus, some of your sisters might care.

The DGs at Clarion are awesome!!! They have the highest GPA and are tops in intramurals.

the beauty of this forum is that you "really don't have to see" a bunch of threads you aren't interested in. no one's putting a gun to your head. i'm not reading A Phi threads as i really don't have much interest in your group. to be fair, delta gamma is probably not the first thing you think about in the morning either.

i think it's only natural to be curious about how one's sorority is perceived at other schools. that being said, anyone over the age of oh, ten, has sense enough to know that reputations vary and some chapters aren't as strong as others and not to get too bent out of shape about it. hell, my chapter was wonderful but the chapter at the local university where i currently live is quite weak. i agree with you that this board is entirely too PC and a bit on the sugary side, but if you don't want to "have to see" certain threads, you don't have to.

Here's the links 2 threads that ask the same question:

Actually, the beauty of this forum is that we have a standard of behavior. Some of those standards are that we don't discuss what XYZ is like on other campuses, and that we don't post 7 million threads a day on topics that would be better asked in the privacy of one's own chapter. If someone doesn't like them, or refuses to comply with those standards, they can go somewhere else.

well put. key word here is: RESPECT. As members of the greek community, we try our best to foster a supportive forum for GLOs.

I respect the other 25 NPC orgs and all the other GLO's not to talk crap on them, disrespect them, spread malicious gossip that may or may not be true, etc. etc. Plenty of PNMs visit these forums, as well as national officers of different groups. That kind of crap is not welcome on GC.

I didn't see this being something banned in the rules so I'm not sure what people need to comply with.

loosen your belt there a bit, beta rose... you're taking your position as web forum moderator just a tad too seriously. have you noticed how many redundant threads there are all over this forum? i suggest spending less time wielding your tiny bit of power over posters with intelligent, articulate, thoughtful responses (like moi, for instance) and follow your own rules - if there are SEVEN MILLIONS THREADS A DAY about a taboo topic (boy, i hope they're paying you well) shouldn't you be locking and subsequently killing them?

oh, and please take extra-special-sunshiney-rosy-posey-happy-lovey notice that in my previous post not once did i swear (APB) or carry a condescending tone (YOU!)

as i'm sure i'll be banned (heavens no!) please accept my offer of a hearty bronx cheer and a suggestion to get over yourself. MWAH!

love and kisses

oh P.S. - rudey rules. at least someone gets it.

33girl 11-24-2003 12:44 PM

zuzu,

Aren't you going to give me a thank you for my kind words about the Clarion DGs?

zuzu575 11-24-2003 12:51 PM

33girl

why yes, i did read all of the replies and am thrilled and delighted that my beloved delta gammas are not only smart but are intramural queens to boot - i never was one for sports so i'm very jealous of those who are!

But...

But do they have THREE fireplaces and have they been on the homecoming court for 5 years in a row, like the AXO's at Clarion?:)

I'm sorry, but I just couldn't resist. Anyone who reads the "what are your AXO's like" thread will understand the sarcasm...

Disco...:p
