Honestly, though, have y'all seen the Walk of Fame? It's not really surprising that they would give Britney a star, since she's a much bigger celebrity than probably more than half the people that have them.

---I really don't care for the fact that everyone is bashing her. She's an awesome girl and I love her music. For those who call her a slut you are obviously mistaken, and for those who think she has no talent, I definitely disagree. Honestly people, why do you have to be bitchy about her success? I appreciate good music and I know good music when I hear it. Britney comes from a time where a person can get famous with no talent but it's ok because she can take off her clothes and make out with Madonna and that's how she'll sell her records.

Of course, what I think is good music YOU might not think is good music...and vice versa.

The trashy thing is out...and pretty soon Britney will be too. The girls who emulated her in her bubblegum phase will grow up and realize that they've been wasting their money all along.

I agree that it's not about the music -- but the thing that Britney's realized is that it doesn't have to be. She's made her career off of catchy, crappy music and an image. The image is what's important, and Britney has done fantastically with making herself the girl we all want to be or want to hate or somewhere in between.

Like I said in another thread, I think people expect way too much of the girl. Pure pop music has never really been about TALENT. It's been about the image, the showmanship, the mystery, the glitteriness and the cheesiness of it all -- and Britney has that in spades.

Y'all can say she has no voice as much as you want and I won't argue it. But to say that she doesn't deserve a spot on the Walk of Fame? The Walk of Fame isn't about talent, it's about celebrity -- and there are very few bigger stars of our generation than Britney.

For those of you who don't know it's not all that hard to get a star on the walk of fame...it's basically whoever puts money down for it and gets petitions signed. It's a joke.

Its not hard at all to get one. I mean as long as people are dishing out the money and youve got a big enough name that they wanna choose you. I mean its easy. Im happy for her she has worked hard to get where she is and she does do things for others granted I dont think shes that talented vocally but shes a good preformer I gotta give her that one.
