I'm laughing because I don't have a job. While my girls are in school, I hang out with my girlfriends and we drink coffee and gossip. And shop. Lots of shopping.

I like my life :)

Also very unethical... ;)

On a more serious note you might think people don't notice but they do, they ALWAYS notice.

When I have children I want to be able to do that too.

Play Spider Solitaire till 4:30, wake up to send the kids to school, hang out with the girls...ahhh the life. ;)

I get to work 4 hours today and tomorrow (but still get my 40 hours this week)...so nannie nannie boo boo!:p

the area that i work is filled with woman who don't work..when i run to the mall or another store during lunch i often wonder what it is that these ladies do with their days(when they aren't out shopping)

like, don't you eventually run out of errands to do?

I work for a very small company. I know they notice. Everyone else does it too. My boss comes in later than I do. I tell him when I'm running errands. When there's no work to do, it's okay by the company.

In the words of Grandma OTW, on being a housewife:

"I don't sit on my ass all day and watch game shows and soap operas. I'm your maid, your cook, your plumber, your handyperson, your banker, your shopper, your laundry washer, your dog walker, your bill payer, so if I ever hear you tell me that I don't do enough, I'm going to kick your ass."

So...even if you see these ladies hanging out and doing nothing, even if it's for just a half hour...it's safe to assume that this brief period is well deserved.

I like overtime can't beat time and a half. My day flys by anyways plus I usually have a enough free time to browse the net if I like. The compnay pays for free food for us alot too so not like i need to go run out and buy food. Plus I found out we get paid for hoildays even if we are closed those days! I love my job.

Are you my boss??? hee hee.... Actually I come in around 15minutes late everyday, take at least an hour lunch-sometimes longer, and leave at 430... also I talk with my friends, on email, all day long. That is my "8"hr work day.

well, no..i never assumed that thats what they did..i just wondered what it was that they did all day. like, my friend's mom doesn't work but she seems to be gone most of the day running various errands.. and they have a cleaning lady, hired people to fix whatever needed to be repaired, etc..i just always wondered what it was she was running around doing all day
