Can someone help me?

I am seriously thinking of pledging the AKA chapter at my university. The problem is that I'm a transfer student and a junior and I've been told that sororities don't usually pledge juniors. Can anyone tell me if that's true or not?

Don't always believe "what the people say" http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif

I am just a sisterfriend but....

I wouldn't let any "quasi-experts" influence my decisions. Especially about something as important as this. Be happy you have a chance to pledge. I have hit brick wall after brick wall, but I have not given up. I will be a junior in the fall, but I still won't give up.

Go to the interest meetings and meet the members. What do you have to lose?
Nothing Ventured Nothing Gained !!!!!

Best of luck! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

I just attended an AKA interest mixer at my school tonight. I've been reading these boards for quite some time and never posted, but I have some humble advice for other SFs.. Something the chapter president said tonight at the mixer struck me as the most common sensical but also the most overlooked aspect of the curiosity and interest in BGLOs. She asked if there were any questions, and when no hands went up responded, "No one can tell you better than we can." The women on this board are always happy to help SFs out... so why would members on your campus be any less willing? Try approaching them with your questions - chances are you can get a more accurate answer that way instead of speculation since each chapter does things a little differently. Just my humble opinion - good luck!

Well spoken SD. As a fellow SisterFriend I have found the same to be true...
Best advice I have heard so far today... http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif
