Hello. I'm not quite sure what it means to be a "former member" of a frat, but I wanted to post this article anyway.

Yes, this is a sad state of affairs, but am wondering why this was placed on the LXA Thread?

No where did it mention an affiliation with this young Man and LXA.

This would be better suited on the Main Thread.

It states somewhere in the article that he was a "former" member of Lambda Chi Alpha - whatever that means....

Shawn, did not see that, but only read the first page that came up!

OKay, reread, and saw that. Former, I wonder about that also.

They were De-Chartered several years ago and just now got recolonized!

The use of the phrase 'former member' may have been the result of an inartfully phrased sentence. Although we know the Brotherhood is eternal, the writer may not. Therefore, upon death, the decedent became a former everything: Former fraternity member, former student, former human being.
