Delta Zetas from Frostburg State University
 

Hey all, I was just wondering if there are any DZs from Frostburg State University on this forum. I am a DZ at Morehead State University and I am transfering to Frostburg this spring. I wanted to be involved in the chapter there.

Thanks for your help...I looked at that website and it doesn't have much on it. I emailed the president...I think, but I haven't gotten a response.

If you log on to the sisters only side of the national web-site, you can get the phone number for the CCD...you have to have your member number from you Lamp label, though. You could probably call FSU's student activities office to get contact info as well.
Sorry-the only Frostburg girl I know is 10 years graduated, and isn't living in the area anymore!

when i was a new member (i got to fairmont state college in wv) frostburg had some girls from our chapter go and help with rush. from what i understood they were a very small chapter then, and wanted some help.

but that was at least two years ago (three in the spring)

that's all the news i have...

I don't know much about the DZ chapter there, but I went out with a guy a time or two who used to go to Frostburg. Evidently the Greek life there is pretty different from what I'm used to.

Like starr and dawn im very excited to see that you want to be active in our chapter! im sandee im vp of programming and i cant wait to meet you starr and i and a few other sisters will be at fsu from dec 31st till the end on the spring semester e-mail starr and if yoru gonna be up to meet with any one before classes we will have to get together and show you around!!!!

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I have been really busy. Well even though I would love to transfer to Frostburg, I am not going to be able to. I went and talked to a counselor and he said that since the program is so different at my school it would take me an extra 2 years to graduate. Since I only have one year and a student teaching semester left I don't think it would be a great idea. I really wanted to go to school in state so I could be closer to my family but oh well... I would have loved to meet you all, you sound like really great girls. Are any of you from around the Annapolis area? If so maybe we could still meet. It is always great to meet a sister. Well I'm sorry that I had to give bad news. Thanks a lot for all you did!!

Wow, did I ever IM you? I know I saw this message months ago and swore I did. Sorry you can't transfer, but I know how it is to want to graduate as soon as possible. I lost almost 12 credits transferring to Frostburg and it took me an extra year to "get out". LOL. Thank goodness Delta Zeta kept me entertained while I was in school :)

It's also fun to see other Omicron Pi sisters on Greek Chat. I used to be the only one. For those of you still in school, I bet you have some idea of who I am, but according to the chapter consultant who visited you recently, you all forgot, not who I was, but why you were remembering my name. LOL. :) Figures :)

I am Tracy, your Colony President...yeah, way back from 1992! LOL :) I am so happy that the chapter is thriving again, and I hear wonderful things about you all the time. Keep up the wonderful work! I have been promoted to AAD for the Blue Ridge Area and couldn't be more excited to represent my chapter in this National capacity. Delta Zeta DOES go on after Frostburg, and I am having a fabulous time working as an alumnae leader. I hope you all stay active after graduation, you know, cause "you said you would", right? LOL :)

Sorry I never make it to homecoming, but it always falls on my wedding anniversary weekend and with a toddler it's hard to "get away" regardless.

as AAD for the area - what are the reports that my chapter should have turned in during the past two years (it was a very negelected position)

i'm trying to help the new initiate who got stuck with it, while i'm still on campus!

Well, AADs only deal with alumnae reporting, so I can't help you there, but your CCD or RCC would have the answers (unless you are the CCD! :) ) Oh, and also, did you try DZLink for the reports you need? The deadlines would be there :) Don't be late...fines are not fun!
