Bad day...
 

Lost my little brother today...he was one of those pledges that despite my most valiant efforts I just could not make him care. He refused to take anything seriously... anywho... it was decided last night between our Hegemon, Pryt., and myself that he had to go, and let me tell you that sort of decision is murder to make...you wouldn't think it'd be difficult to lay aside personal feelings for the good of teke, but he was "MY little" and I wanted so much for him ot be a good teke. And even though he seemed releived to go, and even though it was for the betterment of our brotherhood that he not be a part of it, I can't help but feel like a failure.

I lost my little a week ago -- it definetly sucks. Our MQB (which i am a member of) made the call. It's really hard to look them in the face and tell them they just aren't pulling their weight. But as one of our Venerable Alumnus says:

"If you drag them around for 6 weeks in their Candidate period, you'll drag them around for four years when they're active."

I definately understand that which I suppose, is what makes it difficult, the fact that you KNOW it has to be done.

who knows maybe this may even be a motivation to try to become a better person if he wants to be a member of TKE

Maybe now he will realize that pledging is a serious thing, and if he wants to join an orginization as great as ours he has to put some work and heart into it.
