If you were conducting a fillabuster . . .

what would you talk about?

I've always wanted to read a porno dialogue. Though that would only last 2 minutes. Perhaps I will read PCU scripts.

"Don't be that guy"

HAHAH! I was giving a really lengthy report during a meeting once and one of my sisters told me stop filibustering. Seriously, I'd just entertain myself...read some Dr. Seuss books, give a brief lecture on Carter Glass and Frank Vanderlip, discuss the flaws of my last school hiring a convicted criminal to be the "Pre-Law" advisor...I would love to break the Filibuster record. Do I get a stool after the first day?

i would talk about the merits a movie like Old School brings to the people. Then i would proceede to read the entire script in a dramatization

You should change outfits for each character! ;) I think I might also give a dramatic reading of the lyrics to "I love the crescent moon."

I would also do the entire work of Shakespear.

Didn't Strom Thurmond set the record by reading telephone books?

I like the idea of Dr. Suess, Lewis Carroll (Jabberwocky!!), and other children's books. It seems to suit the tone.

I think I'd read The Declaration of Independence, followed by Letters from Birmingham jail. Then perhaps The Cave and The Prince. I'd end my time with the transcript of Congressman Louis McFadden's speech on the Federal Reserve and FDR.

Pick a story that allows you to talk in circles. This way, when you get to "the end," you can always continue on with where you started and keep going.

Otherwise do something just plain funny. I like the Dr. Seuss idea myself.

that is my all time favorite gov't story ever

i htink i would read the entire OU course catalogue and then go on a rant about how they need to open up more course sections....then i would probably just start reading every textbook i havne't been able to sell back to the bookstores...that would probably last at least a week.

I would read all of the posts on Greekchat. That would provide hours of entertainment.

Or bring an immediate Cloture (sp?) vote!

Just thinking about it, I would read somebody's dissertation on Engineering. Although I won't have the faintest clue what I'm reading, it would probably last a while.

33girl 05-05-2004 10:08 AM

I would read a list of all the makeup, haircare and bath products I own. That could take days.
