Why do my threads always get deleted?

See question above. Thanks! Maybe you could send PM when they are deleted and why.
Well I tried to edit the subject line but it wouldn't let me.
(edited because of grammar police)

It was probably me who deleted your thread, I've deleted quite a few threads & messages between yesterday and today.

If I'm correct, the thread you're asking about was deleted because it started to turn into an argument between a few people. Also in that thread I believe you mentioned that maybe you shouldn't have even started that discussion. I'm not positive, but I think that is the thread you're referring to.

so this is why my post count dropped below 1800....grrr:( :p oh well

Yeah, one of my threads got deleated yesterday too. It was one of my less controversial threads, in my opinion. Weirdly, the controversial thread I started day before yesterday in the News and Politics forum that has the potential to get very ugly is still up.

Oh well, it's not my decision. :)

Please remember that the ChitChat mods get zillions of reported post PMs every day (ok, slight exaggeration). There is absolutely no way we can contact every person who has had a thread deleted. If your thread is deleted, assume that it violated TOS rules.

Copied from the "Name Names" thread:

There's a real easy way to keep posts from being deleted.

Be civil.

And be careful and thoughtful about your use of words.

If you are about to post something about someone else, that you wouldn't want said to or about you -- don't post it. Think of a better way to say it.

Disagreements are welcome as long as they're respectful.
