I was thinking about joining a sorority this year to get involved on campus. I was real involved in high school(cheerleading, basketball, plays, service club, and D.A.R.E.) I want to make the most out of my college years and get involved there too. However, I think I had enough of the sports(4 years in highschool was enough of them for me!!)I just wanted to know if anyone is in a club at college that they love. I really don't know what clubs or organizations colleges offer so I wanted to know which ones are at your school(they will probabaly have the same ones at mine)

Any club or interest your heart desires, you can find it at college. Honor societies, community service organizations, social, business, musical fraternities and sororities. The list is really endless. I was also really active in clubs and sports all 4 years of high school. You'll have no trouble finding something to fill up your spare time.

I'll tell you my favorite club. . . Gun Club. There's nothing like the feeling of holding a 45 in each hand and blasting targets! It's a rush! Don't worry, we're safe, and the only reason I got to shoot dual 45's was because the gun club is basically run by my brothers. The president and treasurer are in my fraternity. The VP is best friends with the president, and comes to the house quite often, and one of the range officers used to date one of my bros. This past spring, we took an old car and put it on the range and shot it up. It was great!

Here at LSU we have over 250 clubs and orgainzations and at the start of every semester we have an organizational fair where new students(freshmen and transfers) can meet representives of the different clubs and see all that LSU has to offer.

This year I'm want to serve on the International Committe of the UPC and go out for Scotch Guard(a service organization). In addition to becoming more active in Circle K(another service org), taking a full load, and working 2 jobs. So if I come here complaining about how tired I am around October, you all will know why! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

A Gun Club? Man, I wish we had that. I guess ROTC is the clossest thing we got. And the outdoor club for paintball. Fun, unless you were me and my housemate. five guys hung over playing paintball against ex marines. Guess who won.

Most schools will have a Student Organizations office somewhere on campus. Here, if you can't find a club that you like or at least one organization you want to join, they'll give you money to start your own.
