Pesky Roommate

I've been seeing this guy for awhile now and tonight, we thought we were going to have the place to ourselves and were......well, getting the ball rolling when his roommate came back.. Obviously we are in college, and shutting the door to bedroom isn't an option........As roommates, what would your opinion be?? Any way we can tactfully tell him to bust off?? ;-) Do we have the right to say "hey, can you leave?" He's single and has been single most of his life.........so it's not like we can come up with a time-share. I actually live at home, but not really in-town and my parents are always home, so leaving to come to my house is kind of out of the question.....any helpful hints or insights???
Thanks!
Mandie

Why isn't shutting the door to the bedroom an option? That's what my roommate and I did, and this was after college. As long as you're not, ummm, really loud, I don't see how it's a problem. He shouldn't have to leave his own home, but you guys should still be able to do your thing.

Why can't you shut the door? Is your guy in a dorm or small studio?

bafromkc 11-11-2003 11:22 AM

here's the solution: LOCK THE DOOR

how about you do the RIGHT thing and save yourself for marriage instead of messing around with these little boys who still live in the dorm?

I wouldn't tell him to bust off....

I'd just do what I want. Most of the time I had the decency to close the door and be in my room. But there has been times when my roomate came home and my door was opeing and I was banging. He just walked to his room and shut his door. But the other times he busted me out in the living room on the couch. I used to have a few chicks who liked to drink wine and watch porn out in my living room, then act it all out. There were a few times when my one roomate would come home and see us right there on the couch. I'd just smile, give him some dap and say whattup. He, too, didnt date much. After living with me for a few months I noticed he ended up getting a GF.

I'm assuming from this comment that your BF is in a dorm. If so, maybe you could hang something on the doorknob outside so that the roomie would know not to disturb you -- and have your BF talk with him ahead of time to let him know that you'll be visiting.

As long as you don't occupy the room too long, then I don't see it being an issue. However, if it is a dorm room, then you need to respect that it's the other guy's place, too. If he wants to come and hang out, it's his right to do so. (But unless he's a total jerk, then I don't see why he wouldn't willingly go visit a friend or to the library for an hour every now and then to give you some private time.)

You should be ashamed of these disgusting things you do. You think you have a right to be a sinning fornicator??

Why not coordinate your bedroom schedule with the roommate's class schedule?

I date classy women. Its just I always end up bringing out the slut in them. I guess maybe they feel like they can be dirty around me, I don't know if I should be happy or pissed off.
