How long to call?
 

So I had a first date with a guy last night (an awesome Sigma Chi alum). He cooked me dinner and we watched Finding Nemo, and just hung out.

Anyway, as I was leaving he told me to call him... so of course i'm playing the calculatation-of-when-to-call game. Don't want to call too soon, but then don't want to call too late in the week so that we'll both already have plans for the weekend. And i don't really know him all that well.... met him out at a bar last week.

So, when should I call him ? :)

call him tomorrow. tuesday is a few days after the weekend, but still earlier enough in the week to make plans for the upcoming weekend!!

if you really like him though, don't put off calling him, do it asap!!

I've always had good luck calling guys the next day in the evening.

I personally don't buy the rule where you ahave to wait x time.

Call the next day. If he responds, it was meant to be, if not, it's not.

Assuming, of course, that you like this guy, I'd call by Tuesday...

Games aside, what TKE209Sweethrt suggests would be the mannered thing to do.

A follow up call the next day expressing both appreciation and the desire to do something the following weekend would be a good move.

A lot of guys I know would actually think it rude not to have the girl call the next day after making her dinner and such.

From the night you see him...wait two days and then call. This way, if you havent figured him out yet, you cant loose. if he'll get wierded out by you calling the next day....2 days is fine. If wants to ttalk to you....it'll give him more time to think about you.

Gotta tell you all, if I were the guy, and I was interested, I'd be the one calling. I've never understood this, "Call me" drama. What does who makes the call prove?

Desperate? I've been married for 33 years. One thing I can't ever remember being is desperate for female companionship -- well, maybe in Junior High, but certainly not since.

I just think the "call me" thing is a silly game.
