Tall (Knee High) Boots

So I've got a few things I'll have to dress nicely for coming this winter, and I'm thinking about biting the bullet and buying a pair of tall boots.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm not sure how much I'm willing to spend and I'll most likely need something with a fuller calf. I'm willing to spend more if they're a great pair of boots, but if anyone has cheapies they're happy with, I'd like to know too!

WOW

Kinky!

Would love to see you in them!:)

What happened to rubber golahases?

Leather in snow, ice, and salt!:(

Bad Idea!:)

I also have wide calves (damn genetics), the best boots I've been able to find have been from L.L Bean, they have a medium heel. There's another brand that have really cute boots for fuller calves, but I can't remember it, if I do I'll PM you :)

...and hey, they're only $89

I went to Nordstroms this past weekend and bought the cutest red knee high boots. The heel is very high and skinny and the toe area is nice and pointy. Love them.

Yeah...if you're not that tall, calf-length boots may not look very well. Try a pair on before you buy. If you decide to purchase a pair, get some with regular soles (not platforms) and a medium heel...you do want to wear them to other places besides clubs. I love mine...they keep my legs warmer in the winter and I can still wear skirts. :)

I also have a pair or knee high boots that I got from Nordstrom's.

I call them my "CFM Boots" ;)

Mwahahaha.

5'4 is tall by my standards though, i'm a petite 4'9 :) So they dont look right on me. I do however like boots that come mid-calf

Munchkin03 11-10-2003 09:05 PM

Yeah, 5'4" isn't really short. In fact, it's the average height for a woman. But what can I say? At 5'5", I still am shorter than most people in my family, and almost a good foot shorter than Dude.

I would suggest spending more on better boots with a genuine leather upper--especially if you're going to be some place where it snows a lot. Salt is hell on pleather. :p My knee-high boots have about a 2" heel, and I wear them everywhere. They look fierce w/ long skirts :)

I have an awesome pair of knee high boots that i got from Nine West. They have a little heal on them maybe like 2 inches or so but theyre great I love em!!!

Nichole

Knee high is ok. Anything above the knee screams "Julia Roberts playing a Hooker w/ a heart in Pretty Woman".
