Philosophy Shampoo

Has anyone tried the really cool scented Philosophy shampoos? I was watching the Style Network last night and they were showing the different scents. They have Cinnamon Buns, Strawberry Milkshake, Key Lime Pie, etc. Supposedly, the shampoos smell awesome. But, they're $16.

Has anyone tried them before? Are they worth the price?

I got a whole bunch as a gift set one Christmas. I loooooved them, they smelled so good! And on the bottle they had a recipie for whatever the scent was, ie pumpkin pie, cinnamon rolls, etc.

I don't know if they're worth $16 though, but they are fun to try once!!! ;)

they sound fun!! i LOVE key lime pie - i just might have to get that one :)

are they quality shampoo? b/c i will only use the best hair care products on my hair, they're worth it! (confessions of an Aveda-aholic)

That's what I'm wondering. I want to know if they quality is good. Also, can you still smell the scent in your hair through out the day?

kddani 11-10-2003 08:33 PM

i saw something about this too.

ZTAngel- they said that it doesn't really stay in your hair all day. Which kind of made me sad.

$16 for a bottle of shampoo is highway robbery though...... i use Herbal Essences and that's expensive enough. The only way i could justify it is if it were a gift or something. I'd never buy it myself.... although i'd love to smell it!

I use the strawberry milkshake shampoo. I really love it! No, the scent does not stay with you all day, which I think is a good thing. If it did, I'd probably spend all day looking for and eating milkshakes. It also doubles as a great bubble bath. In fact, my 5-year old niece has been known to "accidentally" take my shampoo home with her.

Is it worth $16? Probably not, but if you happen to have a couple of bucks handy, go for it. It also makes a great holiday gift.

Can you buy it online?

ZTAngel 11-12-2003 09:19 PM

Thank you for posting this!!!

A good friend of mine has some of these - she got them as a gift, and didn't know where/how to restock, so she'll be happy for the link. I've tried their "cinnamon buns" shampoo - it leaves me craving, well, cinnamon buns :) You do get a faint scent of it that follows you through the day.
