Last week I called and called and after getting a busy signal all the time this time it wasnt one I couldnt figure out if it was my phone or what? so I hung up . low and behold I was connected and hung up when I was on... I couldve shot myself. :( I was sick

A lot of people who win those things have a phone that has redial which apparently makes it easy to get through. I call and call and stopped calling any of the stations because I never get through. It is also interesting to see that they are looking for caller number whatever and less than fifteen seconds later, they have 100+ caller; that is fishy to me.
In Atlanta, on one of the stations there is a FREE MONEY KITTY -- you call the kitty (after being called number XXX) and then make a guess for the amount of money is in the kitty -- you keep a kitty guide and eventually someone will get the right about because you are told whether you are too high or two low with each guess. Another station has a game called beat the buzzer. They first say $95 (because everyone who gets through to play the game wins at least $95). The voice keeps going up up and you have to say stop before the "machine" stops -- you get the money if you beat the buzzer. If the buzzer goes off, you get $95. |
Please forgive me for crashing your board, but I tend to win radio contests somewhat regularly. (I'm guessing that, if you have to keep track of the "only once every 30 days" rule, that's regularly)
Anyhow, if you really want to win, put the number on Speed Dial, and start calling when you even suspect they're about to announce the call in! If they're taking caller #10, and they answer with "you're #3" - hang up & hit redial or your speed dial number! If the caller number is 15 or under, keep dialing through 2 songs, then give up if you haven't won. I've never been able to gauge the Caller #90 ones, but I think you get the idea. If you get the funny busy signal (Buzz-buzz-buzz) that means there's a winner, so give up. Think positive, think lucky, and when you win, enthuse a LOT!!! They WANT people who get excited about winning! FYI - the radio station I listen to was taking only 15 callers for a home improvement prize package that they'll draw on Monday - and I'm one of them!! So, anyone who wants to wish me some luck, I sure could use it! :) Good luck with your contest!! |

LMAO.
When I was a teenager, I'd always win. I've won albums (Sade, Maze, Randy Jackson), movie tickets, tickets to plays, etc. What I would do was get my mother's phone and my phone. We had separate lines. I'd dial and (hit) redial until I got through. I haven't won in a couple of years. The last time I won anything, I'd just hit redial on the phone. Don't even think about using the celly. For me, it hasn't worked. :D |
