Alma Mater

If you had completed more than one level of Academic Degre, like,
BA, MFA, PHD or a BS, MD, PHD, JD or whatever...which do you feel or identify with as Alma Matter.
Elder Scholar, in full regalia
I think it would be undergraduate days, because that's where I joined my fraternity, and fell in love, and I got my heart broken and got over it, and it was hard to get over, that happend a lot until this one girl. I fell in love and she married me.

Or:
I think it would be masters degree, because those were the nights that kept me uplight

This script can go anywhere. Bidding starts at $15,000. PM me for details. Or if you know a good a agent.

The script part confused me, but I'll respond to the alma mater part. I'm just now working on my MEd, but I think I may identify more with my graduate school. I started graduate school at my undergrad alma mater and got incredibly screwed there. I hold a little bit of resentment for the administration there and don't feel a huge connection to the school. On the other hand, I am proud of my sorority and that is where my sorority home is.

I feel much more loyalty to my undergrad than the place I go for graduate school---even though they are very similar to each other in demographics, cost, area of study, etc. There, I lived on campus, and was very connected to what's going on. Here, I just go to class and the library. I have my own apartment and my friends don't go here.

For me, I consider the school where I did my undergrad and got my Bachelors Degree to be my alma mater. I root for teams against other schools (happy for victories and sad for losses), my sorority was established there and I long for the days that I could make a visit to see how much it physically changed from when I was an undergrad. I feel a special connection to that school.

ThetaPrincess24 11-07-2003 10:12 PM

hmmmmmm I would consider them all my alma mater.........I graduate in December with a Bachelor's of Business Administration degree, and then in December 2005 I'll graduate again from the same school with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.......whereever i end up to get my Masters of Science in Nursing degree, which i guarantee will be a different school, I'll also consider my alma mater.....

I have a bachelor's, master's and doctorate from three different schools. However, when anyone asks where I went to college, I always tell them where I received my undergrad. degree. It's where I always wanted to go and where practically my whole family went. The graduate degrees were more a matter of finding schools close to where I lived and worked, and that offered the program that I wanted.

For me, since I only spent 1 year at the school I finished my undergrad, it would have to be my graduate schools (Eastern Michigan University and Franciscan University of Steubenville). It also depends on who is doing the asking (in what situation). If I want to highlight my historic preservation/history work then Eastern Michigan University. If I want to highlight the Theology then it would be Franciscan University. It all depends. :)

Will the story involve a lot of co-eds in tight wet t-shirts?
