Dueling Reality Dramas

what will you be watching on sunday night?

1) the elizabeth smart movie

or

2) saving jessica lynch

i might watch elizabeth smart. i think it is interesting that they are airing on the same night.

Neither, but if I had to I'd probably watch Jessica's story.

mullet81 11-07-2003 01:48 PM

neither - i'll be watching Alias and the Practice

smiley21 11-07-2003 01:48 PM

i am not too crazy about the idea that these movies were made. but oh well. that is america for you.

DeltaSigStan 11-07-2003 01:56 PM

I'm watching neither, but from the sensationalism and fabrication I've seen from the Lynch case, I'd rather watch Elizabeth Smart

Neither one! Their stories have been so saturated in the media anyway! I question how much truth will actually be depicted in JL's story. The military has very strict guidelines about stuff like that, especially since she is still in the military! Makes me wonder...

Neither. Can't we just let Elizabeth smart and her family get on with their lives, and not keep dragging her into the media? And I'm sorry, but the only thing that makes the Jessica Lynch story different than so many other stories is that she's female. If she had been a male soldier, this whole media circus wouldn't have existed.

adpialumcsuc 11-07-2003 06:10 PM

Neither

DeltaSigStan 11-07-2003 07:08 PM

What about shows that do Ripped from the headlines?

SparkliiQTMTSU 11-07-2003 07:23 PM

Im gonna have to go along with neither also of course if I had to choose probably the Elizabeth Smart story only b/c I think that this is crap about how the only reason the Jessica Lynch story was so publisized was b/c of the fact that yes she was female and that just erks me!
