question

I was just wondering if anyone could answer a question that no one in my chapter could answer....
we have a song that is called G&L girl

It goes I wanna be a phi mu so i can say
that I'm a G&L in most everyway
so put a pin upon me and watch me now it's great to be a phi mu lordy and how....

I was just wonderign if there was anyone out there that knew what G&L stands for. We hae ask our alumns and they don't remember so it is something we sing for tradition now, but we would love to know what it means

Not a clue on that one.....Maybe it has something to do with the campus on which the song was first sung?

I was thinking the same thing...about it being in relation to something about the campus. Have you tried posting on the private side of the national website? Maybe there is someone there who can answer this :)

It sounds like the tune to Ramblin' Wreck - the words are in one of the paperback pink songbooks. I don't have mine here at work - but remember we sang it all the time at Southeastern.

I'll post the words tonight when I get home - unless somebody else finds them.

Great old tune 'tho.

My chapter sang it as "I'm ah-gracious and ah-loving in most every way".
