Temptation Island
 

Ok...reality tv has gone waaay to far with this one! The first episode of "Temptation Island" was on last night and yes, I watched it with my husband. Where do they find these people? Who in their right mind would test their relationship in that way? All of the singles invited to tempt the couples into cheating etc were well built, good looking people. There was one black couple on the show and when it was time to leave your mate and go to your respective islands -the sister was crying up a storm. Why? Because her man had recently cheated on her and she was worried that it would happen again. Ummm hello!!! No sympathy for her!
Who in their right mind would take their mate there?(unless they wanted to break up)
That is like leaving a fat kid alone in a room full of fresh chocolate chip cookies and not expecting him to eat one...or atleast take a peek in the jar!!!
I loved the show Survivor...but these survivor wanna-be shows are ridiculous!

Catwoman, I watched "Temptation Island" and I wasn't impressed. I must agree with you, who would go and do something like this. I was disgusted by the show and don't believe it will be on the air long. Fox has really been putting some horrible reality crap on tv lately. Remember "Who wants to Marry a Millionaire"? But I did watch the Mole on ABC and I really liked that show. You should check it out. It comes on Tuesdays at 8pm.

Now I told myself that I wasn't going to watch this crap. Where was I at 9 pm? Watching the dang show. I also wasn't very impressed with the show, and I believe that they could have done a better job casting. The singles that they had realy weren't all that. Now the chocolate sista, she could get it, and the sista that they booted off, and one or two others, but the rest looked sorta plain to me, and the guys really weren't that buff. Hell I could be on the show. I wouldn't find it all the hard to be faithful on this island. Maybe if I got drunk I might trip and fall into some, but other than that, I would be faithful.

As for the blk couple, they need to work out their issues, and not in front of millions of people. We already have ghetto folks getting on Jerry acting silly. Everyone else was all lovely dovey before they left, but the two of them had to make a scene. Black folks!!

I heard that one couple has already been booted off, because they lied to the producers about having a baby together.

I have to agree, I tuned into the show and wasn't impressed at all. My boyfriend called it garbage and went into the next room. On the channel 5 news following the show, they discussed Temptation Island and it was admitted by the reporter that the black couple will be booted off by the third show. So what does that say?

I completely forgot about that show and even if I had seen it I wouldn't have watched it in pure disgust.

Come on now!! You don't have to be a genius to figure out that something like that is FOOLISH!!!

If I'm watching the tube when it's airing I'm going to NOT WATCH in protest.

I truly had no intentions of watching that crap but I ended up watching the first 15 minutes because a friend's family member was on the show. After I saw him I immediately flipped the to "The West Wing". I simply couldn't stomach the show. I honestly don't believe any of those people gave a good ***damn about their "relationships". They just wanted to get some face time so they could have their 15 minutes of fame like all those people from "Survivor". Maybe I would have had a different opinion if I'd watched the whole show but I just couldn't take it. The lengths some people will go to just to be on TV is sad.

I have to agree Temptation Island was not at all tempting to watch. I was sitting there like this is the show that they hyped up so much with the beating drums and the cool promos http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/rolleyes.gif . I haven't seen the show (and don't plan to)but I'm LOL! @ CatWoman's fat kid in a room full of fresh chocolate chip cookies and Mandigo Nupe's getting drunk & tripping & falling into some. Too descriptive for me. Nupe --> how exactly does that happen? (rhetorical question).
