House Moms
 

So, those of us living/lived in Houses have had then, what were they like? Like a second mom? Or the most nosy person? Good, bad, tell your story! I'll tell mine after a couple other people.

The two house directors we have had while Ive lived in the house have been bio grad students. They have both been awsome, our current one TAs one of my classes. They are both awsome (As i said like four times now) and everyone has loved them (as far as I know)

Our house mom (Mom Kathy) is a little goofy sometimes, but I love her. She is a really nice lady, but can be such a pushover when it comes to the other employees. For example, our cook totally takes advantage of her and I have to remind her, "Mom Kathy, you're the boss, not her!"

She's really sweet though. She gives me a hug almost every day and always asks me questions about what's going on in the house and in my life.

Plus she told me I'm her favorite! hehe :)

We only have a house director who is a male, quite reserved and only drops thet occasional Hello.

It makes me sad, I think of the Mommish cuddly puffy woman with the big smiles and I wish I had a house mom.

Oh well...
