I have done an internship. BUT NOT AN INTERNSHIP LIKE THAT! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif
It seems to me that you have been offered something lucrative! It is a blessing. I hope that you take it. It says alot that you are so young and they want to reward you because of your performance. I wish you well in your endeavors. I think the most you or ANYONE can gain from taking an internship is EXPERIENCE and NETWORKING with colleagues in your area of work. |
I bet you thought that since you told me about your internship already that my excitment would die down right? WRONG!!!! I am so proud of you!!! YOU GO GIRL!!!! We need to talk soon, so I can mail you a congratulations gift or something. You have received a gift of a lifetime. Though you are not the religious type, You are truly Blessed.

My Surprise/Internships
Hello Ladies,
Approximately two weeks ago I was called in by the head of human resources. The director told stated that HR was very impressed with my character and hand work and asked if I wanted to considering participating in their internship program. Needless to say, I was both surprised and pleased. When I started this job, it was just a way for me to make extra spending money during the summer. I certainly didn't expect to stay in it's particular field. But after 4 months of working there, I saw the career opportunities were endless and decided that I could make a living (a damn good living) with this company. I know I have a job right out of college, since former interns are automatically offered mid level positions as soon as they graduate. They have me set for AT LEAST the next 10 years and I'm not even 21 yet. Has anyone here done an internship before? Have you all ever been offered an internship you didn't apply for, and if so, did you take it? What were the benefits of you doing your internship? |

Hey Poplife,
I had a similar experience. This summer I interned in New York with a company that deals with Radio Broadcast Sales. When I was first introduced to this company I didn't really take it seriously because I was interested in TV. Well I took the internship... (it had a GREAT package; the co. paid for me to live in NY, and I got a salary, plus all travel was reimbursed) and I fell in love with the business and with the company. They also fell in love with me and I will be starting my job with the company in less than a month. Internships are great because they give you time to really learn the business. It also gives the company a chance to see your work ethic. So congrats Poplife... make the best of your situation. ------------------ ...Taking control of my beauty... loving me for me... |
