California AOIIs

AOII_LB, how close are you to the fires? My CA geography is pretty sad, but I hope you are okay.

Does anyone know if any of our sisters and/or collegiate chapters have been affected.

Well none of the chapters are nearby, the closest to any of the fires would probably be Northridge, and they're not "that" close. Things are ok, except for the smoke and stuff...it smells like a giant campfire here.

Hey...

Hey AOII_LB93, did you graduate in '93?

I'm currently an active TEKE at CSULB...

You should have the current AOpi's post on this board!

BTW, good luck with rush... I heard you guys are expecting to BOOM over the course of these next few rushes!

Anyhow, we Tekes respect our AOpi's, and we hope to see the house grow! Just remember that TEKES were there when your numbers were small... :)

On a side note... Yes, Greek like slumped this semester...
Partially because pretty much every big house is on probation and can't have big gatherings at their houses... (SAE, TKE, etc...)

In fact, we probably won't even have TKE International for the first time in a long time... :(

Since TKE had that big MTV party, we were on probation until this next coming semester...

Anyhow, hopefully next semester will be fun...

GO BEACH!!!

Hello, I'm LB93's little. She is busy in Ireland touring Guiness factorys and kissing blarney stones (she's gonna kill me for saying that). Anyways, she pledged in 93 and is currently in grad-school at Long Beach. We are both alum advisors for the chapter. We are going thru redevelopment this semester and we are all very encouraged by the campus help and feedback that we get. I think the other chapters on campus realize that it could be them next. So if AOII isn't successful that soon the numbers problem will belong to someone else. I've been at a couple monday meetings that TKE made announcements at last semester. You were very well spoken, polite and well dressed :) Ever since LB_93 and I have been active it has been one sorority or fraternity that has struggled to stay on campus. I hope TKE can overcome their obstiacles and be a prominant force on campus!!!

Im super excited for redevelopment, I think it will be great and the chapter will grow. I know that TKE has always stuck by AOII and thats what makes me love TKE,, and since my boyfriends a TKE thats another reason I love them!

Thanks!!! It is going to be an emotional time, but in the end it will be worth it. The days are counting down until our recruitment parties start. :D
