Does anyone know if Maria is near where the fires are and if her, Sean, and Pumpkin are ok? Hopefully, they all are...

I don't know where Maria's apt. is, but I do know that her work has been EXTREMELY demanding lately and will become even more so this week. That's why she hasn't been able to chat or post much.

I'm SURE Maria will find a way to let us know about her, Sean and definitely Pumpkin! ;) :D

I'm at work and I really don't have much time to spare, but I saw this thread and I couldn't let you girls go another minute worrying about me.

Sean, Pumpkin and I are fine and we are in no danger of the fire headed this way. We can see and smell tons of smoke, but luckily no ash (that I can tell) has fallen on us.

However, one sister-in-law and her family and several relatives of mine are dangerously close to the Simi Valley fire. They have closed the schools and we are waiting to hear whether they will need to evacuate. Another sister-in-law and her family are dangerously close to the Old Fire in San Bernardino. She and her husband evacuated our niece and they are watering their roof and waiting for an evacuation order. My father-in-law, who has emphysema, hasn't left his house in several days.

Please pray for them, and for all of us in Southern California. This is an extremely stressful time for everyone.

As Lynn mentioned, I am in an extremely demanding time at work right now, and its probably going to get much worse within the next 2 weeks. If I don't post frequently, please don't worry about us. We're safe.

Give me a month--two, tops--and I'll be my usual bright eyed and bushy tailed self. :)
