Good Greek News
 

I was reading my alma mater's weekly newspaper, and was struck by the abundance of postive mentions of Greeks on campus...thought I'd share, and see if anyone else has some good news to share:

The front page articles are about various groups philanthropic activities this week, and the 5 nominees for homecoming queen are all Greek...then there are stories in the Student life section that are all about Greeks. Very cool.

Which GLOs are at your alma mater? I see that the homecoming court is made up of Alpha Gams and DZ!

There are 3 NPCs, 6 NICs, 2 NPHCs, 1 Latina GLO, and a couple of local sororities.

DZ & Alpha Gam have been on campus since the beginning of Tarleton's Greek world ('84-85). Phi Mu is also on campus, and colonized in '93 (I think). Sigma Alpha, an agricultural sorority is relatively strong (Tarleton is still considered and ag school...lots of cowgirls in Rocky Mountain jeans-in every sorority), and there is a new social sorority calling themselves Chi Omega Nu (not sure how many members they have). Rounding out the GLO's they have 2 NPHCs: Zeta Phi Beta, and Alpha Phi Alpha (there was a Kappa Alpha Psi interest group when I graduated, but I can't find any info on them currently). And finally, there is one Latina Sorority - Kappa Delta Chi.

Fraternity-wise, we have AGR, LXA, DX, SX, KDR and KA Order.
