Break Up: Off Limit Places

So you and your S.O. break up. Are there any places that you either went to or were yours first that you'd be pissed to find that your ex goes to? We're not talking like the gym because it's obvious you have to have a membership to belong.

I just found out my ex still goes to the stylist that I introduced him to. Not only that but the stylist is like a good 30 minutes outta the way. Dumb-butt still owes me mula but he can drive 30 minutes to still get a hair cut!?!?! WTH!

Heh. Sounds like in Mallrats where Brodie tries to make a custody plan for the mall with Renee.

OK, this really isn't a place.... but my ex totally stole one of my bands from me. I always listened to Weezer, and I had all of their rare stuff. Well, I didn't ask him to start listening to it - he just did. He started ordering the Japanese versions of the songs and this stuff. Well, after we broke up I would look on ICQ and he'd have a Weezer quote about love up. WTH???? Its my band! Don't tell me how my band feels about love!GRRRRRR!!!!

Doesn't really annoy as much as hurt, but it bothers me to know that my ex took his new girlfriend to the restaurant he and I would always go to when visiting his parents in San Francisco, and that he took her to Tiburon up in the Bay area, just like he took me... More original next time maybe? I wonder if he's bought her the exact same jewelry he bought for me? lol Ok, so maybe it does annoy me...

My friends were very incestuous in high school, and by that I mean always dating within "the group." It drove me up the wall when they would break up and they'd fight about who was friends with who first, who got to sit at the lunch table on which days, etc, etc. It was awful! :p

My sorority house!

While dating, my ex was totally unsupportive of me being in a sorority. He never wanted to go to any date functions or formals. My sorority had a meal plan; my ex refused to go to lunch or dinner at my house.

A few years after breaking up, I was at my house for dinner when I see him sitting at one of the tables! It turns out that he had recently become friends with one of my sisters who was in one of his classes and he agreed to go to dinner with her at the house that night. Although we had remained friendly, I was more than upset that he had shown up there when I had been begging him to go with me.

One of my most favorite restaurants is ruined for me. I can't go there without remembering my ex. They had a really relaxing patio, and now I can't sit there without remembering my ex. So instead of relaxing with a glass of wine, I get angry and resentful while there. :(

KR this is something else I am going to miss about Metropol...

for the non-Burghers, it's a club that is actually 2 clubs in one. Very convenient to break up with the guy on the Rosebud side, because you could then stalk over to the Metropol side and he would never find you. :)

A quote from "Sex And the City" explains:

"After a break-up, certain street, locations, even times of day are off-limits. The city becomes a deserted battlefield, loaded with emotional landmines. You have to be very careful where you step or you could be blown to pieces."
