Christmas?
 

Hey girls, I'm planning a Christmas/Holiday mixer for our chapter and I need some awesome ideas for the dry portion of the event......so, I'm turing to all you guys for some creative ideas, did you all do anything in your chapters?:confused:

We did a "secret santa" gift exchange, and I think we limited the cost to $15 - so a lot of the gifts were jokes but it was really fun.

We also got a huge, beautiful, real Christmas tree (we had a great room with 2 story ceiling so the tree was BIG!) and decorated it. We bought some cheap clear bulb ornaments and some "Christmas color" ribbon to stuff in them. Then we bought paint pens and decorated them with our names and other festive stuff. We did roommates on each bulb, but you could do Big/Lils or other combinations.

A cookie decorating event might be fun, too. You can buy a bunch of the premade sugar cookie dough and cut it out and bake the cookies all before hand, then have a bunch of decorations (frosting, sprinkles, etc) and do that at the party. You could then keep them or give them to other houses.

And don't forget your non-Christmas celebrating sisters! (although all my Jewish friends LOVE to help me decorate my Christmas tree!!!) :)

We're having a Holiday party too in our chapter, and I don't remember all the details, but I remember that we're decorating cookies and getting someone in to teach us how to give massages (and of course, we'll get to practice on the other sisters, so free massage!). Sorry it's not too many ideas, but I can't remember what we all want to do...our sisterhood chair is very ambitious :)

the only thing with our christmas mixer is that it's with a fraternity that we have mixed with several times in the past few years, and it's always the best time!!! so this year, i'm trying to think of something really cool....i've come up with adopting several families and then we have to go buy and wrap and deliver all their gifts, cookies, a scavenger hunt around the DC christmas festival every year...but again i don't know what to do and I just wanted a few more ideas? The massage idea is really cute, but I think with a fraternity some girls may feel uncomfortable:confused:
