Middle Tenn. State Univ. houses
Saw the impressive new chapter houses at MTSU this weekend.
Does anybody know any details on how these got built and financed? |
I believe the fraternity alumni had a lot to do with it. But I can get more info on that. I think they broke ground on them in 98 or 99.

I know that alumni put a lot of money and effort to get those houses built, but I am pretty sure they worked hand-in-hand with the University to get them built. I think there are contracts between the orgs. and the University, maybe leases or land contracts or something. All I know is the University basically said yay or nay.

Anyone have links to pics of these beautiful new houses?

Here is the Beta house. It is the only house suited for a Housemother and with a commercial kitchen:

Betas look good
That round section on the front of the Beta house is a very fancy and great looking room, which contains a lot of historic pictures and stuff - much of it up high and behind glass.
I've never seen anything comparable in a chapter house. All these MTSU houses are large and well done, and other campuses with building plans ought to look over MTSU. |
