Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I'm asking that age old interview question http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I personally see myself happily married with at least 1.5 kids (LOL)comfortably established in my career (meanwhile striving for my private practice), as well as an owner of a minium 3 bedroom home.(There's more but it's so late I'm seeing double)

How about you?

Hopefully, if it's GOD'S WILL, I will still be here on earth...

have a stronger bond/relationship with God

healthy, in my right mind...
enjoying life
enjoying my family
enjoying my career

Married HAPPILY with children with a COMFORTABLE HOME, etc.

living comfortably where ALL bills are paid ON TIME, and there will BE ENOUGH $$$ LEFT OVER where we can splurge

have a nice size savings account

STILL ACTIVE in the sorority

adding...
having a few prosperous investments

Who knows what will be going on...
A few months ago, I looked through my Senior Memory Book AND the dreams I had over 10 years ago and what is ACTUALLY happening NOW...OH MY GOODNESS! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif

Maybe, this time I will get it right! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif

I want to be alive!!! That's first.

1) Finished with my Masters. (It's crazy working a full time job, and going to school)
2) Married to a wonderfull woman with only a few issues (I had to throw that one in there, I am a magnet for women who have mental problems)
3) I want 1 child in 5 years, and another within 7.
4) A phat house in the suburbs of MD or VA.
5) A thriving consulting practice on the side to supplement my income.
6) To be a Director or Program Manager working my way up to VP or Prez. (A brother is trying to get payed)
7) Looking into, if not working on my PHD.
8) Living close to my parents or my brother so that I can send my kids to them for a few days, while me and my wife chase each other around the house butt naked!!!

Peace

In five years I hope to be
1. Married to a WONDERFUL man cause I'm a WONDERFUL woman.
2. Finished having children, which really means just one more.
3. Finacially stable, not rich but I don't want to have to worry about bils and we can still get in the suv and take a vacation on the spur of the moment.
4. Active in my beautiful sorority.
5. Still a size 8, just toned up more(I'm getting there)
6. At peace and happy and have a stronger relationship with God

This is an interesting topic. I am not going to start a new thread but how many of you are totally amazed at where you are in life. When I was 18 you couldn't tell me that at 23 on my way to 24 I wouldn't be finished with college, driving a lex, and traveling. You sure couldn't tell me I was going to be someones mother, someones girlfriend of five years, and that that boyfriend would actually me my sons father (lol thats another topic). What I thought were obstacles at the time have turned out to be blessings, and were thrown in my path for a reason. Is anybody really were that thought they were going to be in life today?

I'm not doing what I thought I was going to be doing five years ago at all. Because of the divine intervention of the Lord, I'm doing better things than what I planned. I'm doing things in accordance with His purpose...and am much better off for it. And I'm so thankful for Him!!! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

In five years....

I see myself either...
1. As a law school student at the law school of my choice
2. Getting married or already married to a great person
3. Trying to prepare for my career as either an entertainment or corporate lawyer
4. Living life to the fullest
5. Keeping in touch with all of my family members on both sides
6. Owning my own home

That's all I can think of for now. :D

If you asked me, "where I thought I was going to be/accomplished by the end of 5 years" when I was in senior in college in '92, I would had given the answers below:

-a manager at a Big 6 accounting firm working on being partner
-married and living in a 4 bedroom house in NJ
-driving a nice car
-giving back to my community
-a size 6

Below is what really happenned to me:

-After working like a dog I was laid off 2 years after working in public accounting which devastated me. I now work as a senior financial analyst. I never became a manager but I'm happier now. I changed my values to reflect that nobody was on their death bed wishing they spent more time at work. I now have that philosophy and will not accept a job that takes away too much of my free time.

-I didn't marry until 2000 and I now live in a townhouse in FL
-I still participate in service projects for Delta. I do want to try to volunteering as a Big Sister in the future.
-I'm still driving the first car I had out of college ('93 Nissan Sentra) and I'm glad I put my money towards the townhouse instead of a new car. I don't like making car payments.
-I've gained weight initially after graduation due to my work schedule (never had time to go to the gym and eat all the bad foods). I now exercise and select a better choice of foods now. I'm a size 8/10 and will shoot for 6/8.
