Beta Paraphanelia
Have you bought any shirts or anything with letters? Where did you buy them from?
|
Hey, Jill.
I have some fun Beta 'nelia. I bought a gray sweatshirt, the blue retro t-shirt, and the silver lavalier from the BSP Gift Department. I also ordered a rhinestone pin from a southern chapter (listed on the BetaJournal, I think). My chapter also had Spring Rush shirts made last March. We had a New Jersey company make them. My "little sister" Carey is working on letters for the WHOLE chapter. Isn't that sweet?! She chose fabric to match each of our families. Erica |
I had a shirt made for my secret sis at the local greek store in Gainesville. They did a very good job on it, but it was kind of pricey (as all of their stuff is)
I also bought a lavliere on Ebay. It's one of the type that international sells. It turned out to be huge! Its at least twice the traditional lavaliere size. I'm thinking that when I have some money to spare, I'd like to get a new, normal sized one from an outside company. |
Bumping this thread due to my recent purchases from Int'l! Do any other Beta sisters have BSP paraphanelia? Do you wear it often? I've been wearing my new lavaliere often, in fact a girl asked me about it the other day! I'm thinking about getting a shirt with our letters embroidered on it, but I'm not sure yet.

I wear my acheivement band (charm bracelet) a lot. I bought iron-on letters from Ebay, and I made a sweatshirt that I wore constantly during the cold weather. I can't wait to get it out again!

I just got my band (bracelet) in the mail this weekend, so I've been wearing that for the last few days. I LOVE IT!!!
As for other gifts, there is a charm (almost, but not quite a lavaliere) in the Beta gifts catalog that I want to get, and it's reasonably priced. I'm thinking about getting the letters in pewter blocks for a necklace, and there's a Greek shop near the Tulane campus that has all kinds of fabric styles for Greek letters. I spent half a day just looking over them. I've yet to find yellow roses or strawberries, though. I did some Beta stationery up on my computer so I could write to my GC penpals. I want to do some yellow rose and strawberry combinations. |
I bought some of the pre-sticky wooden letters from the local greek shop to make a keychain out of them. I also want a tote bag in black canvas with yellow gingham letters and some sort of letter shirt. And I'm buying a full jewel ROJ pin as soon as I finally go through the ritual. :)

I'd love to have one of the mini-full jeweled RoJ pins when I go through my Ritual of Jewels--about 6 months or so from now when I complete my pledge training!

Oh, I just love the tote bag on Beta Shoppe...the canvas one with the 3 girls and the sorority name. It's so cute!
One of my programs last year was making canvas tote bags. Mine is red with strawberry fabric letters. Erica |
Cool!!! You'll have to show us how you did it! Or me, anyway...
:D |
I had to add that today I received the "Strawberry Notepad" I ordered from Int'l. Sooooooooo CUTE!!!!
