Weddings
I was just wondering if any of you awesome ADPis out there had any cool ideas for weddings. Things you've either done or have seen other sisters do. Even if it was from another sorority but can be incorportated into ADPi stuff, I'd love to hear it. :D

Hi Sister!
Check out this thread: http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...threadid=27206 Happy reading! I would love to hear more ideas, if any ADPi's or other sorority members have suggestions for how to make your sorority sister's wedding more memorable for both her and her sorority sisters in attendance! |
I saw a post on Pride Online about this topic, too. Check it out!

As an alum of some years, I just have a comment of the differences in sister's weddings now vs. sister's wedding the first few years out of college.
In the flurry of weddings that followed the year or two post graduation, there was always a mention of ADPi somewhere. Whether it was a special song during the wedding ceremony, the colors, etc. One sister married a Delta Sigma Phi. They had an azure blue/white/green/gold wedding with her sisters and his brothers each serenading. A cluster of our chapter married a cluster of Phi Delta Theta (something sort of insane in hindsight - maybe eight couples?), so everyone at those weddings pretty much knew everyone else - except for family of course. There were inside jokes, handshakes, etc. These days, there is little if any mention of ADPi in our weddings. My best friends and I are still in constant touch, and still in each other's weddings, but ADPi is in the background. "This is my maid of honor and best friend Brooke." When we get the question, how do we know each other, then the anser is "Oh, we were in the same sorority." I guess like it's obvious, to ourselves if no one else. I'm sure this isn't true for everyone, just my observation on how things have changed for me and my friends as the years have gone by. |
