Univ of Akron...looking for directions..
 

Hey all. I was hoping someone on here is either a current student or recent alum from the University of Akron. I'm planning a mini-road trip up there next week to see a guy named Ron Irizarry perform. He's going to be at a place called Bulger's Down Under, but I'm having some trouble finding out exactly where that is. If you can help, please post, email or PM me.

I don't know SilverTurtle. I did find out the University of Akron has a residence hall called "Bulger". http://www.uakron.edu/resources/camp...ion=2&mapKey=6

I wondered if perhaps it was a basement bar there or something?
If it was me I might try calling the univ. on 337-972-7111 and asking if they knew it? They'll probably know the place even if it's off campus? Sorry I couldn't be of more help; hope you enjoy the performance.

Unlike schools in England, most schools in the US don't have bars on Campus in Residence Halls to try to prohibit underage drinking.

Have you tried to look it up on www.citysearch.com?

i go to university of akron (cr-akron) and bulger is a residence hall here. where are you coming from? i could try and give you directions but i am not too sure how great they would be. let me know and i can try and help. when are you coming?


btw...no fun basement bars here on campus but kent state has one and my friend used to bartend there. it was in the basement of the student center. hehe... (i went to kent for 2 years and grew up in kent)

Hey everyone, thanks for the help. We did find it eventually, with the help of some students. It was a good show and there weren't many people there. I think the show was pretty much put on for UA students, which I'm not. My sister went there for a year and her husband goes to one of their branches now.
