All Female DJ event, in Bikinis.

On Saturday Nov 1st, get ready for:

Analyze-an all female DJ event

Starring....

DJ Baby Anne (The one and only Bass Queen.)

http://www.moonshine.com/global_imag...icture1-38.jpg

Even from her earliest recollections, Baby Anne has always been a music lover. Encouraged and mentored by her good friend DJ Icey, Anne got behind the turntables in 1992. Icey had once seen her on the dance floor “busting out great moves” and they became instant friends. Soon after, Icey became her mentor and Baby Anne started getting bookings. When she bought her first set of Technics, there was no looking back.

During her free time, the Orlando-based DJ honed in on her production skills, producing a number of singles for DJ Icey’s Zone imprint. Her signature sound, which fuses Miami bass with funky Breaks, makes her one hot commodity in the rising Breaks scene and the reining queen of this niche genre.

In 1999, Baby Anne released her first mix, “Bass Queen In The Mix,” on Pandisc. With a crowd of over 3,000 at the release party, held at Club 5 in Jacksonville Florida, all signs were pointing towards a massive debut and the signs were right. The 11-track album features two of her original songs, “The Bass Queen” and “Abercrombie”. Baby Anne’s third disc, “Dark Side of The Boom” was released in September, 2001, featuring two of her own singles, “Probe” and “Pulse” along with singles from DJ Icey and up and comers Prizm & Eclipse.

Undoubtedly America’s most popular female Breakbeat DJ, Baby Anne is making her mark on the nation. Her hi-octane sets of funky Breakbeat energy, fused with heavy doses of Miami bass, has rocked many a dance floor at clubs and events from coast to coast. Don’t be left out!

DJ Sandra Collins

Sandra Collins is one of the US's finest Progressive House and Trance DJs. Dubbed "The Trance Goddess", Sandra has captured the imaginations of dance floors around the globe with her driving beats, hypnotic grooves and mesmerizing melodies. Her rare ability to combine a powerful groove for the body and an elevating journey for the mind continues to win the loyalty of fans throughout the world and looks set to make her one of the biggest names in global dance music today.

Her ability to be both a crowd-pleaser and connect emotionally with her audience won her the daunting opening night slot at Woodstock '99. Spinning after Moby, she admirably held her own with a six hour set in front of the 80,000 mostly-neophyte dance music fans, and by the end of her set had by all published accounts won them over.

Now with residencies at Chicago's "Crobar" and Las Vegas "Utopia", Sandra is one of the progressive dance music's most in-demand DJs, travelling to raves and clubs across the country and around the world, from Little Rock to Lima, Peru, Germany, Tokoyo and now finally Finland and Sweden.

Cash,

The thread just wouldn't be complete without some asking: "What GLO(s) do these women belong to?"

OK, just kidding.

PM_Mama00 10-16-2003 10:12 PM

DA... can I just say how happy I am that you're a moderator now? Cuz I'm sure if it was up to other mods, this thread would have been deleted because of the semi naked woman.

Anyways, I didn't read all the stories, but I think it's awesome to have an All-Female DJ event.

Maybe I should look at it again with my glasses on!

Because of its' length, I really just skimmed it. You've probably doomed it, because now we'll all have to look carefully!

I guess one is a little borderline, but we're all (well mostly all) adults here.

LOL, yea...It'd be cool if they were AGDs and wore thongs with their letters on it.

Actually.............this should be an amazing show.

Baby Anne and Sandra Collins in the same place??? Another chance like this won't happen for awhile.

And, with the exception of the topless dj,these girls aren't about sex, they're about the music. They're the kind of women that would punch a guy who tried to talk to them while they were mixing. Wish I could be there!

sigtau305 10-18-2003 10:41 AM

I wouldn't mind checking this show out. Battle of the DJ's is always cool.

Some awful ugly guys do . . .

Oh, its definitely gonna be of the chain. I actually saw Baby Anne last weekend, on Friday night. She had some dope new tracks that were hittin pretty hard on the 18-18s they had in the club. I swear, I've never heard so much bass in my life. I'm stoked about Sandra Collins, she always throws down a good set. The bad thing about her, she's a crackhead...straight up. That girl gets FCK-ED up! I'm talking about rollin for 3-5 days at a time. She also has a bad habit of not showing up. 2 yrs ago we booked her 3 times because she kept missing her airplane, finally everyone said to hell with her. The guys that got her this time said that she approached them inorder to try to make up for the consecutive no-shows awhile back. That said, I'm sure she'll show and it will be off the hook. BTW- Annes not like that at all, punching a guy and all. I talk to her all the time when she comes here, either up on stage or in the booth. Shes actually really cool. She's a lesbian, but still cool. Her mixing can get pretty shitty sometimes, it's her tracks that make her what she is....and personally, I think Icey helps her out and writes most of her cuts. If you get any of her wax, you'll see that most of her songs are in association with DJ Icey. And she's not even on his record label.

Still, its gonna be a tiiiiight show.

Right right, I just meant they're not the kind of girls who are in the business to meet guys....going to a club is a job for them, not a singles convention. I like that.

I thought she dated DJ Icey for a while a few years back. I think it was around the time he was mentoring her...a little bit before she became famous.

Yea, a lot of people thought that. But, they never dated. Icey is a lil too old for her. Eddie is pushing close to 40. I think Anne is around 26 or 27. I just think people wanted to see the King of Breaks and the Bass Queen hook up.
