Time to brag
It's been sooooo much fun to share in the success in recruitment but I just know that there is more going on in all of your chapters.
Let's hear it, ladies! What makes you proud to wear the wine and blue? What have you or your chapter done that is special? |
IN Gamma just finished up Fall COB and will be initiating 7 new angels in November! Our all campus philanthropy fundraiser, Arrow Spike, was a few weeks ago and had a wonderful turnout despite rain and cold weather. We also recently participated in the Susan G Koman breast cancer walk and will also be volunteering for Safe Night Halloween, an event to allow inner city children have a safe and exciting Halloween night.
I'm always proud to be a member of the wine and silver blue. I'm sadden by the fact that this year I don't live in the house and am usually busy with speech path clinicals. However, I love that I'm always greeted with hugs whenver I come over to the house. I love my chapter dearly and will miss it greatly when I graduate in May. |
MI Gamma
I am very proud of our house this year. Not too long ago we only had around 50-60 members. This year with all our new members included we have close to 113 which is only two away from limit. We are super excited because everything is going wonderfully. We had a really great rush and we have our wonderfull EC and our TGC Jessica to thank. I was gone last semester in Germany and to come back to a loving chapter was the best feeling in the world.
We have been told by panhel we are now one of the larger houses on campus which is so exciting. :)Also we are adding an aditional philanthropy this year called the Arrow Open and everyone is really excited about it to help raise money. thats about it i think. hope you all are having as much fun as us over here! :) |
We had the 2nd highest GPA for a small chapter last year, right after Yale... we'll get 'em this year though! :p
We also just had a great flag football tourney which my boyfriend's fraternity, Pi Kappa Alpha, won! (for the second year in a row!) |
ON Gamma had another successful Halloween trick or treat for canned goods - we are really starting to own this program at Guelph which is great since it gives us positive exposue in the community and the university. We also did a leaf raking day for charity and were asked back to numerous houses the following week.
What I'm most proud of my chapter for is their involvedness with Canadian greek life. We just came back from the Canadian INterfraternal Conference (CIFC) and we had 4 officers plus myself attend. The girls have really made an effort to expand beyond their chapter and reach out to other greeks and that makes me proud as punch :D |
